Posting Rules: What a Seeking (ISO) Post Must Include
Extracted from the legacy Posting Formats template; kept as the plain-language checklist version rather than the raw copy-paste template (the template itself remains a tool-page feature, not knowledge content).
Every seeking ("ISO") post reviewed for Toronto Home Zone must clearly state:
What you're looking for -- a room in a shared unit, an entire unit, or a team-up.
Monthly budget (CAD) -- posts without a clear budget will not be approved.
Move-in date and lease term -- whether you're looking for long-term (1 year+) or short-term.
Preferred areas -- the Toronto areas or neighbourhoods you're open to (or "flexible").
Whether real estate agents may contact you -- if you say no, please report any agent who messages you anyway.
Any requirements or lifestyle notes -- accessibility, couple-friendly, pet policy, furnished, parking, gender-specific, queer safety, child-friendly, or health & safety needs.
A short note about yourself -- what makes you a reliable tenant or roommate.
Posts with photos and/or social links tend to get much more engagement.
